For weddings, parties and corporate functions we recommend allocating around 9 square feet per dancing guest, since only about half your attendees will be on the floor at one time. As an example, a party with 150 guests typically needs a 20 × 20 foot (≈6.1 × 6.1 m) floor. Our modular panels let you create virtually any footprint.
How easy is assembly and disassembly?
Our tool-free connection system makes setup quick and intuitive. Two people can typically assemble a 20 × 20 ft floor in about 20 minutes. For teardown, simply reverse the process; store panels on transport carts or in their original cartons to prevent damage.
Is the surface slippery or safe for high heels?
Our wooden surface has a non-slip finish and flush seams, which means it feels secure underfoot even for tap or salsa dancers. Edges are beveled and securely attached to reduce tripping hazards.
Can the floor handle energetic dancing?
Yes. The floor’s rigid base and strong locks make it suitable for high-impact styles such as tap and Zumba. For intense jumping, consider adding a foam or sprung subfloor to provide extra shock absorption.
Will repeated assembly reduce durability?
Our floors are designed for repeated installation. The interlocking tabs are robust, and outdoor use is fine for short-term events; just ensure the panels are fully dry before storing them.
How long does shipping take?
Stock interlocking floors generally ship in 5–8 business days, while custom hardwood floors require 3–5 weeks for fabrication. Expedited production and air freight may be available for tight deadlines.
Should I buy a dance floor or rent one?
Renting is convenient for one-off events. However, purchasing can be cheaper over multiple events and lets you tailor the size and finish. We’re happy to help you crunch the numbers.
Can it be used outdoors or on uneven ground?
Yes, but you must provide a level base. On grass or gravel, lay plywood or a suitable subfloor first to provide a firm, even surface. Direct installation on uneven ground is not advised.
Can I lay it over carpet or hardwood?
Absolutely. On carpet, we suggest a thin plywood underlay to distribute weight. On delicate hardwood or vinyl, use a protective membrane to prevent any potential scratching from panel shifting.
Will stilettos damage the floor?
No. Our panels lock together tightly so there are no gaps for heels to catch. The top layer is either hardwood or high-pressure laminate, both of which resist scratching from heels.
How do I clean and maintain the floor?
Routine care is simple. Sweep or vacuum loose dirt, wipe up spills promptly, and damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid saturating the wood. We provide a detailed care guide with every order.
What if my order arrives damaged?
We use protective packaging, but if your shipment arrives with damage, we will replace the defective or damaged pieces free of charge. Please photograph any damage and contact us within 48 hours.
Wood vs. Laminate: What's the difference?
Wood provides a classic look but needs more care. Laminate is highly durable, resists scratches, and doesn't need refinishing, making it ideal for heavy rental use or outdoor events. Our sales team can send samples.
Do you offer ADA ramps or beveled edges?
Absolutely. Our heavy-duty aluminum ramps lock onto the perimeter of your floor and create a gentle, ADA-compliant slope, preventing tripping and allowing easy access for wheelchairs and strollers.
